Now that you’ve read both "It's All I have to bring today", and "We Alone", discuss the similarities and differences in how the poems express the theme.
I feel that they are similar becasue they both could mean something meaningful in life, It could be sad, and depressing but also it could be nothing that important.
Both poems are talking about the value of something. "It's All I have to bring today" is talking about how they are giving all they have. "We Alone" talks about how we can make things have less value and that gold isn't the most important thing.
"It's all I have to bring today," is about how she should be loved/liked the way she is. Just because she doesn't have everything in the world doesn't mean that she can't be valued by someone or something other than herself. "We Alone," is similar but it is about how everything should be valued no matter how rare it is. That not everyone has what we have so it all should be valued.
They were both about two girls that didn't want anyone to read or see there poems, but then they became famous. There poems were about keeping things valued with everything else. One lived in the late 1800's the other was born in the mid 1900's and is still alive. One is a little short poem, and the other is a little bit longer.
The similarities with "Home Alone" and "It's All I Have To Bring Today" is that they both talk about love talking about loving something. The differences between both of the poems is that "Home Alone" talks about gold and what it is to some people, solid objects, and love should be a revolution. While "It's All I Have To Bring Today" talks about a meadow,fields and bees.
Differences- We alone talks about how people don't respect gold a lot. It's all I have to bring today talks about meadows and good things. Similarities- Both talk about something valuable.
The poem We alone is about how you can like everything equal and the poem It's All I have to bring today is more like that how a person is liking one thing more than another. They are the same because they are about a person liking something very much
I feel like they both talk about value and meaning of life. It's about how they try to bring all and their best but sometimes they can't do that. But we can also not care about the most important things in life. "We Alone" talks about how we can value the littler things and money isn't everything in life.
The similarities of both of these poems are that we need to love what we have and not take it for granted because it might not be there forever. The differences are that We Alone was about the value of some of the things we may have and that gold doesn't have much value but some of the smaller stuff may be worth more. It's All I have to bring to today is more about the things we want but we can't always have them. But look around your surroundings and take what you can get.
