I didn't know that you had to give credit to the person that you got the information from. It's important because you can get fined for taking credit from somebody. Other types of righting are similar to this because they each give you information.
That you can't just look up a few facts about your topic and then just summarize those few facts. You have to look at many facts and then sort of summarize it, but you have to leave the most important facts, and words. I think that this is important because if you had just a short little summary of your topic then it won't really be a good subject to write on and your reader would be bored and won't care about your topic. It is different because you can't put random things down that don't make any sense. You have to think very carefully about what you are going to write. It is the same in a way that you have to describe certain things.
