A leader is defined as a person who guides or directs other people. He is a person who influences people. Yet many celebrities and music makers influence people in ways that are not good and which can actually be harmful. Are they still leaders? Why or why not? What is your definition of a leader?

My definition of a leader is a role model. If they have done something worth admiring, they are a leader. But when celebrities hump wrecking balls and shake their butts in front of a cameras to make money doesn't make them seem respectable. It's like, come on, people! I think that people only respect and follow them because they are famous and want to follow in their footsteps making a lot of money. I don't think that celebrities are leaders, (they're sometimes not even human) I think they are just followed.

I think those people are still leaders, they just aren't positive one. They are setting examples people will still follow because they realize they are making bad decisions. I think people need to think of people and the example they are setting to others before they act.
ReplyDeleteI think those people are still leaders, but just not in a positive way. Some people know right from wrong. But a lot of people think its okay by being convinced by others.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't think that they are leaders because if they are doing something that is hurting someone they aren't a leader, they are just someone that is trying to make someone do something that will change there life forever in a bad way. My definition of a leader is someone that cares and respects other people. They make good decisions and they help other people around them make good decisions.
ReplyDeleteYou can't be a leader if you be mean to others. yes there are those people out there, but why follow those people that re disrespectful. Those people take bullying, picking on, and disrespect to far. If we all stick together we can stop these people from becoming a bad leader. We can convince them that you don't have to be a bad person, you can also be a good leader. Change the ways of people like this. It doesnt have to be like this.

DeleteA leader is somebody that you look up to, be like them, and do what they do. I don't think it matters if you set a bad influence because if they set an example on you, then they are still a leader in you own kind of way.

So those celebs who teach their fans to do something bad and they actually and get caught like doing drugs or drinking under age they are responsible but think whose fault is it really?
ReplyDeleteMy definition of a leader is someone who is a role model. They try to make others want to be leaders and they try to make you do your best. If you're a leader you won't try to make the other person feel bad or unhappy, that's not what a leader does. Be a leader in your own kind of way!

ReplyDeleteMy definition of a leader is someone that can influence someone else's decisions, whether or not they know that they have an effect on someone. I think that they are leaders even though they might not be fully aware of how much their lyrics, scripts, interviews, etc. can influence someone that hears or sees it.

ReplyDeleteThey still can be a leader in different ways. Leaders make mistakes too. Many leaders have distinctions that make them a good leader. I think that a leader is a person who can lead a group and take control and be responsible.

They have good communication skills and stand up for others in difficult situations. Those celebrities are still leader just in a different way. A way that others think is amazing but is actually are bad influences for others.

ReplyDeleteMy definition of a leader is someone who takes responsibility of a group and takes responsibility of the situation. There are many leaders in our society, some good, and some bad. Some actors and music makers can be leaders if they do the right things, but many stars today have a bad influence and are not good leaders. Many actors and music makers inspire people to do good things and make change in the world.

For example, Justin Bieber is probably one of the dumbest singers besides Miley Cyrus. He may have good music but he can't stay out of trouble.

Leaders show how others should act, even if they are unaware of the affect on others. Most leaders can be a little stubborn to change ideas because they will stand for what they believe in even if their is a "better" way to do it.
ReplyDeleteMy definition of a leader is a person who is willing to made a sacrifice for someone. The person would be willing to help anyone who either does or doesn't ask for help. A leader is the person who is going to standout from the others and be a good role model that others would want to follow in their footsteps. Celebrities who do make bad dissensions are modeling what not do for your future. When they make bad dissensions, I think that they don't realize that they being watched by others. If they wanted to be famous and be a role model, then why would they make that decision? I think they get caught up in the fame so they forget others have them as a role model and want to be like them. So celebrities who are bad leaders, should not even be considered a leader. The only way they are leading others, is in the wrong direction.
ReplyDeleteMy definition of a leader is someone who you find that respects you and you wish to reflect upon their actions. "Leaders" these days are somewhat referred to as idols. Leaders these days are somewhat resemblant to Adolf Hitler or King George III, aside from the murdering and pillaging part. They are put into power for the wrong reasons and make the wrong decisions, yet because of the change in generations, people are beginning to think that this is the new normal.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that they are still considered leaders because if they do harmful things then they can be hurting other people if they are a leader. They will influence people to do harmful things also. I think that a leader is someone who does good things and sets a good example.
ReplyDeleteLeaders are people who direct others, and they are indeed leading people. Be it in a bad way. Whether it's a bad influence or a good one, a leader is a leader. George Washington was the leader of old America, but Adolf Hitler was the leader of the 3rd Reich.

I think that music makers and celebrities are not leaders unless they are getting people to do good things or things that will help people.
ReplyDeleteMy definition of a leader is a role model for all people even little children. When the Celebrity does something wrong the little children will think that they are bad and will not have a role model. But the parents don't want their children to turn out like that.

Celebrities and music makers that influence bad things, such as doing drugs and inappropriate actions, are terrible people to follow and mirror. Those celebrities can be leaders, but are neither respectful nor responsible. The people who follow them are people that might get in trouble, go to jail, or even die, all because they did what the celebrities have done and got away with. Given, there are some celebrities that know what they are doing and help the environment or do other positive actions. Those type of celebrities are the type of people that could be good leaders.

ReplyDeleteA leader is some one who is willing to help others with any conflicts in their lives. Many artists themselves might do things that aren't necessarily acceptable. Despite that, there are many clueless people that are stubborn and keep seeing them as their idol. Since artists are so well known, they are looked up by many people. While they do something bad, other people are influenced to do the same. Those people shouldn't be called or thought of leaders.

ReplyDeleteAny celebrity can technically be a leader to others, but some choose to be a "leader" in bad or negative way. A leader is someone who can communicate, be a good role model, or much more in a positive way.

Even if he has to take a bump in the road to do it. Real leaders know what is right and know how to handle the situation in the best way they can. Bad leaders will lead to war,debt and even separation. Without a good leader who knows what would happen? No they would not be a leader in my opinion but maybe to someone else they still are.

Like if you follow Miley Cyrus(i wouldn't) You'll be lead into a life of crime and grossness. If you follow your parents however you have a good chance of following a good path.
