  2. I will try to have that person listen to the essay again and tell them my facts.
You can have the person to listen what you are talking about again and tell them what you have as facts about the topic.

  3. You can try to have legitimate reasons for both of your arguments. You could work together to find options and try not to get in a big argument.I think that if you try not to argue you can find reasons why each are alright. If you do not fight there will be a positive manner most likely.

  5. Listen to what they have to say and then they should hear what you have to say because, maybe if you hear what you have to say you might be able to agree with them and if they hear what you have to say, maybe they will agree with you.

Ex. If you leave a situation with the other person agreeing with you then you will have to explain it more.

Write about what you want to stop disagreeing about it and write and maybe you can get convinced.

  8. If you disagree with someone you need to explain why. You explain what you think and then the person you don't agree with explains what they think. If you can't agree with them possible walk away or just go with yours and then have the other person go with their's because you don't want them to be mean.

  12. You should tell them positive things about what you are trying to persuade them of. Or you could ask them what they would put and work it out.

  13. When you are talking to them you should ask them if they could give more information, or you could ask them why they thought that rather than something else. You could also give them your information and why you thought that. After you have discussed about what they thought you could tell them to maybe add some more information why they thought that.

If you want someone to listen then you should not be rude. No one will want to listen if you are being mean. The WILL listen if you are respectful and nice.

  18. You let them finish their argument and then counter it. You don't get frustrated with them and you agree to disagree. You have to be respectful and kind so that the argument doesn't spiral into a million different things that have nothing to do with the original argument. If it starts to get heated, you walk away from the conversation and you can discuss it later if you feel like it.

  19. You need to first listen to what your friend has to say on their part on the argument, then combat it with a well crafted counter argument. You need no worry to hurry with your response in your quarrel and getting angry will just make the other person happy. You need to keep calm and stay cool under pressure to make sure it does not become a fist fight. When or if the conversation seems as if it is about to spiral into something seriously concerning, calmly walk away and take a deep breath and continue later.

  20. If you disagree with someone in a persuasive situation, you can provide your facts and your side, and then listen to theirs. You could counter their disagreement with more facts from your argument. You also have to be kind and use words that they understand. One way to come away from the situation is to find a medium on something you both agree on.

    1. I agree with Ashley because it is important to listen to both sides of the argument. Also, finding something you both agree on can make the situation much better in the end rather than proving one person is right.

  21. Normally, when two students disagree about something they both try their best to explain to the other why they are right and why the others thoughts are incorrect. If neither can do so, one normally gives up and just says the other is right. You can also just agree to disagree about it and just go back to whatever they were doing before the argument. Also, try to compromise on each others thoughts and don't shut it out if it isn't what you think.

  25. If you disagree with a classmate in a persuasive situation, you should listen to all opinions given. Also, if you disagree with them you should explain and support what you think and why you think that, after they say their argument. Then, if the argument needs to be ended, you can always come back to it later or you can agree to disagree.

  28. If you do not agree with a friend/colleague/student during their persuasive essay, you could wait until the end when they ask if anyone had questions or comments. Remember to be extremely polite. Take time to listen to all of their sides and points in the argument, consider all the ideas, then counter argue. They took a lot of time working hard on their piece, and nobody wants a know-it-all. In fact, you could even respond or disagree with the author by writing your own persuasive essay(s). The more you write, the better backup information you think of. You might even end up winning the argument with reasonable persuasive points.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You should listen to their argument first so you have an idea of what they are trying to persuade. If you disagree with one of their opinions, then you could try to find some positive facts that could go against what they said.

When you walk away from the argument, you could maybe try to give them more facts about what you are arguing about.

  30. Say your thoughts about whatever the argument is about and let them say whatever they think and respectfully disagree with them. Just leave it alone while you are both still being positive about it.

  31. If you don't agree with their essay, finish reading their whole essay before you jump to any conclusions. They might have points you don't agree with in the beginning, but very strong points that may or may not change your opinion at the end of their writing. If you still don't agree by the end and they're still pushing you to side with them, you could compare your ideas with theirs and try to compromise and figure something out. Then, they could give you more information about the topic and explain why they thought what they did, and even though you still may not agree, it's always important to be polite when you give your reasons. If you disagree in a polite manner, the other writer is more likely to understand why you disagree and accept it rather than keep pushing you to believe what they believe.
If the other writer does not agree with your opinions, you should give a more in depth description on the topic. If you do this, the other person's brain might spark and they may start to agree with your opinions. Ask them why they disagree, and try to change their opinion with every reason they give in a polite manner, of course. If they still do not agree with you in the end, just let it be without arguing.

  33. If you and another student don't agree on something, then you need to talk things out. Find out why they don't agree with you, try to re-explain why you like it, and listen to anything that they would want to add. Most importantly make sure how to remain calm, if you get mad and don't listen then the other person then they will get angry at you guys are farther than you were before at coming to a compromise.
If you are unable to get them to agree with you than you should just agree to disagree, and respectfully walk away, just because you don't agree on one little thing, doesn't me you should be obnoxious and rude to them every time you see them because that will cause even more of a problem.

    ReplyDelete
  34. You have to listen to what the other person has to say. If you don't listen then you have no reason to argue with anyone. You have to be respectful to the other person if you do get in a argument then reason with the other person and say things correct to the conversation.

  42. When you disagree with someone you can both say your opinion and your reason. To walk away in a positive manner, you have to accept that you and the other person do not agree and don't turn it into a big fight.

    ReplyDelete
  43. First, you can tell them what you think. Then, they can tell you what they think. If you disagree respond negatively, they will get all offensive and say bad things about your side of the situation. But if you respond calmly and respond in a positive manner, they will too. You can just tell them the facts and why you think it's better or you should do that, then they should do the same thing. If you still don't agree don't get in a huge fight and become enemies for the rest of your lives. Doing this will help you guys come away from this in a positive manner.

    ReplyDelete
  44. You show your points of view in and give facts to back it up. You can also just have a survey, or just know that some people have different opinions.

    ReplyDelete
  45. You need to listen to the other side of the story and then come up with reasons why you think that. In the end you could say that the other persons opinion is theirs, not yours. You both can think different things, anyways, if you're trying to persuade them give many different reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  46. What you should do in a situation in which they disagree in is to tell facts about what they disagree in.To show them they could be right or they could be wrong.Another way is for them to tell you facts why they think it is wrong.Either way both of you tell facts why both of you disagree with each other.
