ReplyDeleteIt is important because if you where writing to a kid you would not us big words and if you where writing to an adult you would us big words. You also don't want to write to someone who dose not really care for what you are saying.
ReplyDeleteAudience identification is important because it tells you how or what you should persuade. If you were to persuade a someone who hates dogs to get one there would be almost no point because there is probably a reason they hate them. But, if you would try to convince a business to not get rid of something like a park you could give your reasonings and change their thoughts.

ReplyDeleteAudience identification is important in persuasive writing because if you were writing to a group of 7th graders about if 13 year olds should be able to drive they would want to because if they think that it would be fun. And if you wrote the same thing to a group of elders they would think differently than the 13 year olds.

ReplyDeleteKnowing your audience can be very important for many reasons especially when it comes to persuasive writing. One way that it can help is for the language. If you are speaking to young kids your not going to want to work with words like photosynthesis because they would not have a clue what you would be talking about. You would have to break it down. If you are writing to an adult you will not want it to be the same as the little kids words because then you would have words like how plants make food instead of photosynthesis. Another reason that it would be important would be because you would have to know who you are writing to because you'll most likely want to pursued a child and an adult about two different things.
ReplyDeleteYou should base your persuasive writing towards a certain age group to they understand what you are trying to tell them. Here is an example if you are writing a children's book you should direct it towards children. If you are writing a creepy criminal book you should direct it towards adults. I you are writing a book about sports you can direct it towards all age groups like teens, adults, and younger children.

If it is not that fun to read or if its just plain old boring then no one is going to want to read it. So whats so important is that your persuading the reader to read it.

For example, if you were writing to your principal you would want to write formally. If you were writing to your friend you would write informally. Knowing your audience can also help you to know what kind of mood to write in and what kind of language you should be using.

ReplyDeleteBefore you can write your persuasive piece knowing your audience helps a bunch. You would speak differently to kindergartner's than if you would speak to high school students. You would speak more formal when you talk to the high school students than you would to the kindergartner's because they don't know or understand as much as the high school students. Knowing your audience in a persuasive piece helps out a lot.

Adults know more and can understand things better than children because they've been alive longer and have more experiences. All the same, it's harder to get children to concentrate on what your saying because they have shorter attention spans than teenagers and adults.

An audience is very important in writing because People can comment your writing in good and bad ways. If it is good they would have enjoined your story if it is bad then they did not like it they may say it is bad.

It is important to know your audience so that you know if they will be interested in your book about why racing is the best. It is also important to know how much they know about your topic.
